Summer will end in May: Pagasa

THE scattered rainshowers and cloudy skies experienced in Cebu in the past two days doesn’t signal the end of summer, the Mactan office of the state weather bureau Pagasa said yesterday.

“That’s just natural. Those were caused by local cloud formation,” Pagasa Mactan weather analyst Boy Artiaga said.   Artiaga said there is also no low pressure area in the country’s area of responsibility. He said summer shall continue until the end of May.

“The start of the rainy season begins in June. It would continue to be hot until next month,” he said. Artiaga said yesterday’s temperature was 32 °C.  Reporter Ador Vincent Mayol
