‘Report cybersex activities’

REPORT to authorities parents who use their children for cyber pornography or any cybersex-related activities that they know about.

Joan Saniel-Amit, Children’s Legal Bureau executive director, made this call to women during the culmination of the celebration of the Women’s Month held at Mandaue City Sports Complex last month.

About 2,000 women attended the activity.

“It’s important to protect our youth from cyber sex and child pornography,” Amit said in Cebuano.

She also pointed out that cybersex cases involving children were also covered by the Anti-child Pornography Act of 2009.

She said that the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 had not been enforced yet after the Supreme Court issued a temporary restraining order. /Reporter Jucell Marie P. Cuyos
