10th season of IBP caging opens tomorrow in Capitol

THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu Basketball League will open its 10th season tomorrow at the Capitol Parish Gym in Escario Street in Cebu City.

Eight teams will compete for this year’s crown headed by host team, the Dissenters. The other teams competing are defending champions Paneros, Bhutakals, Primos, Super Idols, Lex Titans, Pecandelas and Eagles.

“We started this tournament six years ago and we are very happy that as years passed, our numbers grew bigger,” said tournament commissioner and lawyer Jonas Asis during yesterday’s official launching at the Ocean Garden Restaurant in barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

The tournament’s objective is also to foster camaraderie among the lawyers in Cebu under the IBP Cebu City and Cebu Province chapters.

The opening starts at 10 a.m. and will be followed by the tournament proper. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
