NegOr electric coop opens for district elections
THE Negros Oriental Electric Cooperative II (Noreco II) will hold district elections for audit and election committees during its annual general membership assembly on April 14 at Pamplona town gymnasium in Negros Oriental.
The Noreco II management requested all electric cooperative members interested to run for the two committees on election and audit to secure and file their certificate of candidacy on or before Saturday, April 6 at the member services department, Noreco II main office in Dumaguete City.
The districts due for election include district 1 that covers the municipalities of Amlan and Pamplona and Tanjay City; Dumaguete North for district 3; Dumaguete West for district 4; Dumaguete South for district 5; Zamboanguita and Siaton towns for district 7; and Basay and Bayawan City for district 9.
For the entire coverage of Noreco II from Pamplona to Basay, the audit committee needs three seats that are due for election too.
Candidates for committee members must be a Filipino citizen who is at least 21 years old and a resident and member-consumer within the coverage area for at least six months before the elections.
For audit committee, the candidate must be a certified public accountant with experience and exposure to finance, management or audit works.
