Hotter and hotter

Summer continued to sizzle in Metro Manila and most other parts of the country, as the nation’s capital recorded its hottest temperature so far on Wednesday afternoon at 35.2 degrees Celsius, the state weather bureau said.

The temperature reading was reached at 3 p.m. at the Science Garden of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in Quezon City, a forecaster said.

It was even hotter in other parts of Luzon with Subic reaching 36.7 degrees Celsius, and Tuguegarao City hitting 35.5 degrees Celsius, Pagasa forecaster Buddy Javier said.
