CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three persons were seriously hurt while 29 others sustained minor injuries in a collision of a passenger bus and a trailer truck on Star Tollway in San Jose, Batangas, Monday.
A trailer truck bound for Batangas collided head-on with a Manila-bound Ceres bus that carried 30 passengers along Kilometer 88 in Barangay (village) Lapu-Lapu at around 12 noon, a text message from Batangas Vice Governor Marc Leviste said.
The bus driver, identified as Joselito Ramos, was among those seriously wounded while the names of the two other passengers with serious injuries remained unavailable as of Monday afternoon.
Initial investigation showed the trailer truck overtook other vehicles but ended up colliding with the bus from the other lane of the expressway.
