Hottest temperature in Metro Manila recorded Wednesday—Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines—Metro Manila experienced its hottest temperature yet this year on Wednesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said.

The temperature sizzled to 35.2 degrees Celsius at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said, citing its record from Pagasa Science Garden in Quezon City.

The hottest temperature in Metro Manila was recorded at 38.5 degrees Celsius on May 14,1987.

Meanwhile, easterlies, or warm winds from the east continues to affect the eastern section of the country.

“The whole country will have partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening,” Pagasa said in its afternoon bulletin.
