THE Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of Mandaue City is calling on the unemployed, especially the high school and college graduates to join the job fair they have lined up this month.
Musoline Suliva, head of PESO said that instead of just staying in their homes, doing nothing, those unemployed should aggressively seek employment as there are available jobs here and overseas.
“The job fair will not only be for Mandauehanons but also open tothose from other towns and cities,” Suliva said.
Local jobs will be offered in the April 10 – 11 job fair in Parkmall, and in Benedicto College on April 20.
Local and overseas jobs will be offered on April 28 job fair to be held in J Centre Mall.
Suliva said that Mitsumi Inc. for example needs about 1,000 production workers for its plant in Danao City, while SM needs a lot of personnel especially with the building of their new mall in South Road Properties (SRP). Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) like call centers are also constantly in need of workers.
A day before their scheduled job fair, Suliva said, the PESO will conduct free coaching to applicants in their office in the Mandaue City Sports Complex.
The coaching includes teaching applicants proper attitude during interviews, possible questions during interviews, making of application letter and resumé, proper hygiene and good grooming.
Applicants could also register in their office prior to the job fair schedule.
