MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III has arrived at the venue of the Liberal Party’s proclamation rally.
Aquino arrived at the Bonifacio Shrine a little before 5 p.m. Monday to personally endorse LP’s local bets in Manila, which include incumbent Mayor Alfredo Lim and his running mate Lou Veloso.
The LP senatorial candidates present at the rally were former Senators Ramon Magsaysay Jr. and Jamby Madrigal, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, Representative Cynthia Villar, and former Representative Risa Hontiveros.
Tight security is being imposed in the vicinity.
