CAMP PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna – Police are still trying to identify two men whose bodies were dumped on a roadside in Alaminos, Laguna, on Sunday.

Without any identification cards on their bodies, police would have difficulty identifying them unless somebody or their relatives would come forward to claim the remains that were brought to a funeral home in Alaminos.

Police Officer 3 Bernard Anciado, the officer on case, said the bodies were found at around 4 a.m. on Sunday in Barangay San Juan by a resident, Rico Villanueva, who reported his discovery to the police.

Anciado said both victims had multiple gunshot wounds, “mostly in the head.” One was wearing denim pants and a yellow shirt while the other wore shorts and a black shirt.

The victims were believed to be in their early 30s, between 5’4” and 5’6” tall, and had a medium build.

Villanueva, whose house stood 100 meters away from the crime scene, told police that before he found the bodies, he heard around 20 gunshots being fired, followed by the sound of a speeding car, Anciado added.

Meanwhile, Chief Superintendent Benito Estipona, Region 4A regional director, said on Monday that police authorities were coordinating with the management of a warehouse located near the site where the victims were found.

Estipona said investigators are set to review footages from a security camera installed in the warehouse and which covers the entire road of San Ildefonso going to Lipa City.
