MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) released Monday its second educational video that teaches voters about the proper and legal methods of campaigning.

The new video features “Tina Tama”, a character that “outlines legal, proper and novel techniques that local candidates can adopt in their campaign,” Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez said in a statement.

“Tina Tama” will be with “Boy Bawal,” the character in Comelec’s first educational video who points out the prohibited and illegal forms of campaigning.

“Boy Bawal” showed illegal election propaganda such as posters on trees, electric posts and wires, waiting sheds, public utility vehicles, etc.

“Tama na ang puro bawal, tama naman!” Tina Tama says in the video.

“Alam niyo na ang bawal, kaya gawin na lang ang tama. Para maging maayos ang eleksyon, simulan sa tamang pangangampanya,” both Boy Bawal and Tina Tama say in the video.

The local election campaign officially started on March 30.
