Parklane wins Cebu Loves Tri team title

PARKLANE Tri Team romped off with the title of the Cebu Loves Tri Team Championships Series after amassing 96 points after last Thursday’s final leg at the Sugar Beach in Bantayan Island, Cebu

The team, manned by Ralph Arche, Kristiane Lim, Alan Leith Ting, Hannah Lou Galo, Loveleinell Casidsid and Jebb Cane, scored a total of 302 points, 27 points more than closest pursuer FISH18, which settled for second place with a total of 275 points in this three-leg series.

Lim contributed the most number of points in the final leg with 37 after finishing as the second male overall fiisher when he crossed the finish line with a time of two hours, 24 minutes and 27 seconds.

Galo chipped in 20 with her third female overall finish while Arche topped the male 30-39 to account for 22 points.

The rest of Parklane Tri Team’s points were contributed in by Casidsid, who also ruled the female 30-39 category.

FISH18 accounted for 80 points during the final leg with 31 points coming from Abet Biagan, who was the third male overall finisher.

The rest of the team’s points were chipped in by Gerrie Calinawan with 26, Mendel Lopez with 19 and Chris Aldeguer with four points.

Third place went to Patt’s Tri Team, which finished with a total of 124 points.

Scoring for the team in the final leg were Jose Merdino Lim with 21, Raymund Reel Bontol with 16, Alvirg Busa with 11 and a point from Randy Gilles.

John Philip Duenas bagged the overall men’s title with a time of 2:20:37. The distaff side title went to Rochelle Tan, who completed the race in 2:55:25.

The relay was dominated by the Lapyu team of Diomarie Grace Ferrer, Wilmar Saavedra and Alexis Gilbert Yap. The three combined for a winning time of 2:54:19.

The super sprint saw Jose Gabriel Soberano clinching the title at 52:04. Aaliyah Ricci Mataragnon won the female 11-12 title while Shaia Ruth Uy pocketed the female 13-15 title.

Dhexia Myle Bersabal took the female 6 & under title.

The female 7-8 category was topped by Danikah Gabriella Jabines while the female 9-10 category was dominated by Ella Stevens. Winning their respective categories in the male division were Ralph Eduard So (11-12), Zedryck Josh Canares (13-15), Inno Cases (6 & under), Harland Hogan (7-8) and Bernard Miguel Sy (9-10). /CORRESPONDENT MARS G.
