3 killed in Antipolo City, La Union on Maundy Thursday—NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines—Three people were killed and 11 were injured were in separate incidents on Maundy Thursday, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday.

In Antipolo City, the NDRRMC said that one was killed and four were hurt in a vehicular accident involving a multicab and a tricycle along Bosai Resort in Antipolo City, Rizal at 11 p.m.

The casualties have not been identified.

Earlier on Thursday, two people were reported to have drowned – one in Pangasinan and the other in La Union.

Juniel T. Zamora, 7, from Antipolo died in San Fabian, Pangasinan. His body was recovered along Sitio (sub-village) Sabangan, Barangay (village) Nibaliw Navarte, the NDRRMC said. The circumstances surrounding the incident were not mentioned in the report.

The other drowning victim, who has yet to be identified, was said to have been on a drinking spree with relatives in Barangay Nagrebcan in La Union. His body, which was recovered in the nearby Bauang River, was brought by the police at Joces Funeral Homes for autopsy.
