THE Liberal Party-Cebu and the administration One Cebu party each mapped out their campaign trail schedule after the Holy Week break.
LP-Cebu gubernatorial candidate Hilario “Junjun” Davide III said their four-day caravan starting on April 1 kicks off with a Mass at the St. Joseph National Shrine in Mandaue City at 7 a.m.
Their caravan will visit northeastern towns and cities on the first day, winding down to Bogo City in Cebu’s 4th district where they will spend the night.
Senate candidates like Risa Hontiveros confirmed that she will join the caravan.
On Day Two, the group will head to Daanbantayan in the 4th district and make a “round north” and head for Pinamungajan in the 3rd district or in the midwest part of the province where they will stay overnight.
On day three, the group will proceed to Santander in the 2nd district, passing through Aloguinsan town in the 3rd district.
The group will conduct a pulong-pulong in Santander where its members will stay for the night.
On the fourth day, the group will head to Oslob and pass through the towns in the second district before it makes its final stop in Talisay City in the first district. The LP will also stage a campaign rally there.
One Cebu Party will also have a district by district campaign starting next week.
In a press conference, Rep. Pablo John Garcia of Cebu’s 3rd district said they kick off their campaign on April 6 in the 1st district.
Garcia said they are still meeting with other districts to schedule their respective campaign dates.
Vice gubernatorial candidate Glen Soco of the Partido ng Masang Pilipino will stage his kick-off ceremony on March 31 in Mandaue City. Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
