LUMBER STORE ROBBED

A CASHIER of a lumber store was robbed at a gunpoint by two unidentified men in barangay Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.

Marites Brigildo, 22, stay-in-employee of JLDM Enterprises, said she was busy attending to customers around 3 p.m. when two men on a motorcycle arrived .

Brigildo told police the one of the two men posed as a customer when he suddenly pointed a .38 caliber revolver at her and declared a hold-up.

The cashier said she was forced to give P17,000 cash to the robber.

The robbers escaped toward barangay Canduman.

The cashier said the robber had a cross tattoo on the right side of the neck./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS

STUDENT FOUND HANGING DEAD

A 20-YEAR-OLD high school student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in their house in barangay Opao, Mandaue City.

Reymart Sapotalo was found by his sister around 7 a.m. Monday suspended from a beam with a blanket tied around his neck.

Senior Insp. Stephen Amamag-id, chief of Opao police station, said Reymart was scolded by his sister before he allegedly committed suicide.

Police said the victim had tried to committed suicide at least five times in the past but were prevented by his family./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
