Blackwater downs Cebuana Lhuillier
THE BLACKWATER Sports overcame a bad start with a strong finishing kick to beat the Cebuana Lhuillier, 87-80, while the reigning champions, NLEX Road Warriors, got their first win of the tournament with a 90-54 rout of Hog’s Breath in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup yesterday at the Arena in San Juan City.
Allan Mangahas continued his stellar play with 21 points, nine of which came in the fourth period as the Elite got back to their winning ways after losing to Fruitas in their last game.
In the other game, Garvo Lanete scored 18 points while Jake Pascual had 13 and 12 rebounds as the Road Warriors wore down the Razorbacks with their up-tempo game./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
