USC ready for tough challenge in V-League

/ 06:51 AM March 25, 2013

The belles of the University of San Carlos will try to make a splash on the national scene when they compete in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference slated April 7 at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Lady Warriors earned the shot to compete in the V-League after ruling the women’s volleyball tournament of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) last year. They are one of two teams from the province in this tournament with the other one being the De La Salle-Dasmarinas.

USC has been bracketed in Group B along with the NCAA champions Perpetual Help, Adamson, Arellano and National University. Returning to defend its title is Ateneo, which is out to redeem itself from losing to bitter rivals La Salle in the UAAP finals just recently.
