Batch ‘97 thrashes Class 88

JV Shop n Shop ’97 took advantage of Dewfoam 88’s hole in the middle to score a lopsided, 61-38 win in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Friday night at the CEC gym.

Without big man, Ricky Yu, Dewfoam was unable to execute their gameplan and JV Shop n Shop pounced to up their record to 7-6 (win-loss).

Denver Dano cashed in 17 points, eight rebounds and two assists, while Aubrey Jones Ibones added 10 points and four rebounds for Class ‘97.

In the other game, Joseph Aljhune Areja had 16 points, five rebounds and two steals as Best World Lifestyle 2004 streaked past the skidding Wild Rice 2007, 58-54.

Rodney Lindimar Co banged in 14 points and nine rebounds and Bryan Harry Labus added 12 markers on top of seven rebounds and four assists for Class 2004, which broke the game wide open in the second period where they outscored their opponents, 18-6. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
