CAVITE—Two girls who fell into a river and the man who went to their rescue drowned in Noveleta town on Friday, police said Saturday.
Neighbors Camille Pijing, 12, and Alessandra Hayag, 9, were playing along a riverbank in the town’s Barangay Poblacion around 5 p.m. on Friday when they fell into the 10-foot-deep water, according to Noveleta’s deputy police chief, Insp. Nenita Dilidili.
