GOOD Run draws huge attendance

A total of 1,972 runners have enlisted for tomorrow’s GOOD (Goiter, Obesity, Osteoporosis and Diabetes) Run of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) Philippine Chapter at the Parkmall in Mandaue City.

Among the total number of runners, 492 have signed up in the 21-kilometer half marathon distance, including the powerhouse Kenyan pack. Other distances are the 12k, 6k, 3k and 1k fun walk.

The running event aims to strengthen its advocacy in preventing goiter, obesity, osteoporosis and diabetes.

AACE, a professional medical organization founded in 1991 with more than 6,000 members in the US and in 84 other countries, has a group of doctors specializing in endocrinology in the country. They are actively spreading awareness about the four diseases.
