3 KILLED IN CEBU SHOOTINGS
A 46-YEAR-OLD man was shot down by his 19-year-old neighbor in barangay Bolinawan, Carcar City, southern Cebu.
Two men were also killed in separate shooting incidents in Toledo and Naga cities.
Police said old grudges was the likely motive behind Marjun Alinton’s shooting of Venice Entera at 9 p.m. last Tuesday. The suspect fled.
Entera sustained a gunshot wound in the back and was declared dead at the Carcar City Provincial Hospital.
Supt. Ricky Delilis, Carcar City police chief, said Entera accused Alinton of theft. The victim also reportedly poked a gun at the suspect previously. In barangay Tungkay, Toledo City, a 45-year-old man was shot dead in his house by a still-unidentified gunman.
Police said Amelito Labajo had a pending arrest warrant for illegal drug charges.
In barangay West Poblacion, Naga, a 45-year-old man was found dead outside his house.

MAN ACCUSED OF KILLING LOVER
POLICE are searching for a 23-year-old man accused of killing his live-in partner in barangay San Roque, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Gedioso Liwanan, 23, a native of Surigao del Sur, was tagged as a suspect in the killing of Bridget Garbo, 29.
The couple rented one of the rooms of a house owned by Epifanio Bautista in sitio Laray.
Police said the couple were seen arguing outside Bautista’s house Tuesday night.
The couple then entered their room where the woman was later heard shouting for help.
When the room became silent, Bautista’s niece checked on the woman and found her with a polo shirt tied around her neck. The woman also had head injuries.
Paramedics from the Talisay City Rescue Emergency Action Team rushed the woman to the Talisay City District Hospital but the attending physician declared her dead.
Liwanan was no longer around when police arrived.
PO3 Benidicto Lasque of the Talisay City police said they recovered a knife in the room.
Police recommended to have the woman’s body examined to determine the cause of death.
