MANILA, Philippines—A man was killed after a 10-wheeler truck lost its control on the zigzag road at the boundary of Rodriquez, Rizal and Quezon City Wednesday morning according to a report on Radyo Inquirer.
According to Rodriguez police Chief Superintendent Rommel Estolano, hardware store helper Rommel Tuvillana, 24, was killed at around 1 a.m. along the Don Mariano Extension in Rodriguez, Rizal when the ten-wheeler truck (UFC-384) he tried to jump off from overturned, pinning him underneath.
Tuvillana tried to jump after sensing that the truck lost its brakes, said Estolano. Truck driver Jose Plantilla, 50, told authorities that he tried to stop the victim from jumping.
Rodriguez police detained Plantilla after the incident, Estolano stated.
