JV hopes to get more Cebu votes

SAN Juan Rep. Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito Estrada is hopeful that his good standing in the surveys would also translate to more votes in Cebu in the May 13 elections.

He said the Estrada family recognizes that Central Visayas, especially Cebu, “has always been our weak area.”

But Estrada said he hopes his youth and good performance as San Juan mayor will convince Cebuanos to vote for him.

“Probably I will be the first one (Estrada to win in Cebu). I hope,” he said in a press conference yesterday.

Estrada said he travels to five to six provinces every week to campaign.

He said the administration Liberal Party has the resources to spend for this year’s campaign.

Estrada said he is not out to top the senatorial race. He said he’s comfortable with his 4th or 5th ranking in some national surveys as well as landing in the top 12 in the Central Visayas survey.
