MANILA, Philippines – Heads must roll.
Kabataan Representative Raymond Palatino on Tuesday told Radyo Inquirer 990AM in an interview that concerned officials in the University of the Philippines-Manila should resign for their alleged “unsatisfying” response to the case of Kristel Tejada who committed suicide supposedly after being denied access to the university’s education due to financial woes.

“Dapat may gawin ang UP kasi nabasa ko sa statement nila pati ang press conference nila wala naman silang extraordinary na ginawa,” Palatino said.
(UP officials should do more…they took no extraordinary measure to address the issue.)
Earlier reports had it that the faculty of UP Manila’s Department of Behavioral Sciences called on UP Chancellor Manuel Agulto and Vice Chancellor Josephine de Luna to step down as a show of “solidarity and humility” to Tejada’s family and other victims of the university’s alleged “repressive” policy.
“Yes, I think may resignation man lang na mangyari, or kaya may penalty na gawin sa mga involved, or an investigation [should be made],” Palatino said.
