MANILA, Philippines – Even as summer season was officially declared Monday, isolated rainshowers were expected throughout the country in the daily forecast, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.

The whole country will be partly cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration [Pagasa] said.

Ridge of high pressure area, or opposite of low pressure area, was extending across Luzon as the northeast monsoon receded.
