JP Steelwood and B95 secured tickets to the championship game as they beat their respective opponents in the Division 1 semifinals in the University of San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association last weekend at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Former pro Lou Regidor once again carried the fight for the top-seeded JP Steelwood as they beat RMI Cockpit Arena, 52-47.
Regidor had 17 points to pace the defending champions. They will be facing off against B95, which defeated Café Laguna, 47-46.
In Division 2, the youthful Gold Funds 2011 will be taking on the Lite Shipping 2001. The final will start immediately after the Holy Week break.
USCBHABA is the longest running alumni league in Cebu which also boasts of the biggest alumni base with 22 teams competing in this tournament. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
