UP student presents ‘Workspace’ exhibit

Wyndelle Camello Remonde of the University of the Philippines (UP) Cebu is having his first solo exhibition entitled “Workspace” at the Qube Gallery, CAP Center on Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City.

A graphic artist and apparel designer from Argao town, Remonde returns to UP Cebu to finish his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

“Since ni graduate ko from Certificate of Fine Arts, diha lang primarily nag-revolve akong life, sa akong workspace (Since I graduated Certificate of Fine Arts, my life has revolved around my workspace),” said Remonde, referring to his budding career as an artist.

“Akong workspace ang nagbuhi nako, akong source of income (My workspace is my source of income),” he added.

Workspace will feature Remonde’s paintings and installation depicting his life returning to UP Cebu, as well as him being a self-supporting student. His artworks are achieved through acrylic painting incorporated with textile printing on large-scale canvasses.

Remonde said his coming back to UP for another educational endeavor in the arts has brought him gladness to share his arts through the exhibit.

The Workspace exhibit is open until March 20.
