THREE persons were arrested by security personnel of Globe Telecom after they were allegedly caught   using fake documents in their postpaid service subscription application.

Facing charges of estafa and violation of the Anti Alias Law are Ryan Cleofe, 29; Esmeralda Morales, 28; and Filoteo Tome Jr. They were arrested in separate Globe Telecom stores in Cebu City.

The suspects submitted fake documents in their application for postpaid accounts and avail of high-end mobile phones, said a press statement from Globe.

“These people try and obtain postpaid accounts using fraudulent IDs with the intent of never paying for them and also to get the high-end unit which normally comes free with a subscription. Globe does not condone these illegal activities and is serious in pursuing the prosecution of anyone found violating the law,” said lawyer Froilan M. Castelo, head of Globe Corporate and Legal Services Group./CORRespondent EDISON A. DELOS ANGELES
