AROUND 2,000 runners will swarm The Terraces at the Ayala Center Cebu for the 2nd Phoenix Run of the Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Jesus (SHS-HdJ) today.
This fund-raising running event is organized by the SHS-HdJ Parents’ Association.
It will offer one-kilometer, 3k, 5k and 10k distances.
The run aims to raise funds for the Parents’ Association’s outreach activities. During the inaugural year of the running event, the organizers were able to raise funds to renovate the Physics Laboratory of the school.
Like last year, the race will once again be handled by veteran race director Joel Baring of SAFE. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
