Did you know: Gregoria de Jesus 70th death anniversary

Today, March 15, is the 70th death anniversary of Gregoria de Jesus who was known as the the Lakambini (muse) of the Katipunan. Born on May 9, 1875, in Caloocan City, she was married to Andres Bonifacio and became the keeper of the Katipunan’s important documents. After Bonifacio’s death, she married musician Julio Nakpil with whom she had eight children, including National Artist for Architecture Juan Nakpil. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
