Boy faces arson rap
The Bureau of Fire Protection was expected to file last Monday a complaint for arson against a 16-year-old boy who started a fire that gutted a house in Barangay (village) Saguin here on Saturday. Superintendent Emmanuel Arrozal, Pampanga fire marshal, said a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage showed the boy setting the house of Erlinda Sarmiento on fire by burning a sofa. Deadly land feud
Two security guards were killed, while five others, including an Army soldier and an Army reservist, were wounded in a clash on Monday over a land dispute in Hacienda Handumanan, Concepcion village, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
