Iris O. Napere, DILG officer of Bombon, Camarines Sur, was reported missing since Friday after she failed to attend a meeting with other DILG officers, said investigating Police Officer 2 Jeffrey Ros.
Ros said Sheila Medina, DILG officer of Cabusao town, reported the incident to the police on Friday afternoon after Napere could not be contacted in her two cell phone numbers.
On Sunday, DILG Regional Director Blandino Maceda coordinated with the Naga City police for assistance which prompted the police chief here to create “Task Force Napere” to search for the missing government executive.
Ros said Gerald Napere, Iris’ husband, told them that his wife failed to come to their rendezvous as they have agreed to go home together to Guinobatan, Albay, the couple’s hometown.
Gerald said they have been staying in their aunt’s house in Villa Carangahan, San Felipe, Naga City since Iris’ assignment in Camarines Sur three years ago.
Ros said police initial investigation showed Napere was last seen on Friday morning by a pedicab driver who knew her and saw her waiting for a ride in going to Bombon.
