’PACQUIAO’ ARRESTED

A 35-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for allegedly firing his gun indiscriminately in barangay Poblacion Occidental, Consolacion town, northern Cebu.

Police seized a .357 magnum revolver with three bullets from Joseph Pacquiao, a resident of Barangay Tulo-Tulo, Consolacion.

Police said a resident called to report the incident gun at 8 p.m. On Saturday.

SCAVENGER FOUND DEAD

A 38-YEAR-OLD scavenger was found dead in barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City.

The body of Michael Guabero was found in an open garage in Morales Street around 7 a.m., yesterday.

Police said Guabero had been frequenting the garage to take shelter.

Police said the man was asthmatic which could be the cause of death.

There were no signs of foul play.

Police said paramedics checked on the man last March after he complained of difficulty in breathing.

MAN STABBED IN DRINKING BINGE

A 29-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed by his friend after they argued in drinking session in a market in barangay Cansaga, Consolacion town.

Ryan Sunggayan, a resident of barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion, suffered several stab wounds in the abdomen. He was declared dead at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.

The suspect, Jason Dela Cruz, 18, fled.

Police said the two were drinking with two other friends when they argued around 3 a.m. yesterday.

The two were pacified by their friends but the argument continued until the suspect drew a knife and attacked the victim.

ARRESTED FOR ILLEGAL GAMBLING

A 51-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for illegal gambling in barangay Punta-Princesa, Cebu City on Saturday night.

Oscar Neri, a resident of barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City, was caught with illegal gambling paraphernalia such tally sheets and stubs.
