Thieves take cop’s vehicle parked in front of his house

MANILA, Philippines—A police officer’s sport’s utility vehicle had been stolen while parked right in front of his home in Quezon City.

Chief Insp. Christian Tarun, 32, lost his family’s Mitsubishi Strada while it was parked on 18th Avenue in Barangay San Roque, Cubao.

Case investigator PO3 Errol Tejaras said the officer is assigned to the Police Community Relations Group in Camp Crame.

The Mitsubishi Strada (TIK-411) was discovered missing around 6 a.m. Thursday as Tarun was about to leave for work.

Tarun recalled that he parked and locked the SUV in front of his house  around 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The complainant’s uncle, retired Senior Supt. Jose Beltran, said he still saw the SUV at around 3 a.m.
