GENERAL SANTOS CITY, Philippines – Singer-actress Sheryl Cruz gave life to otherwise ordinary campaign here of  Team PNoy by singing an acapella of  her  two original songs, “Ikaw ang true love ko” and “Mr. Dream Boy.”

The crowd at the city’s gym chanted and sang with Cruz, who represented her cousin, former MTRCB chairperson Grace Poe-Llamanzares.

Cruz ended her second song, “Mr. Dream Boy,” by changing its last line with “iboto nyo si Grace Poe (vote for Grace Poe).”

Not to be outdone, Poe-Llamanzares’ son, Bryan, also did an acapella of the popular Tagalog song “Harana” before doing a break dance for the cheering audience.

Before this, re-electionist Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel sang his own version of John Lennon’s  “Imagine” by changing some of its lyrics which he always sings in every sortie.

Pimentel changed for instance the first line of the song to “Imagine there’s no cheating…”

The senator is known for his strong advocate against elections cheating after he claimed to be a victim of poll fraud in the 2007 elections.
