Witnesses report kidnapping of Indian trader
An Indian national who lends out money for a living has reportedly been kidnapped in Valenzuela City.
The police said they were looking for the victim who was identified only as Sodhi.
Witnesses said that Sodhi was driving his motorcycle on Cayetano Street in Arty Subdivision II on Sunday morning when some seven unidentified men, four of whom were wearing shirts with “NBI” printed on them, blocked his path with their car and took him.
NBI officials, however, denied knowledge of such an operation. “All notices of operations nationwide pass through this office.
We operate 24 hours even on Saturdays and Sundays and we have not received a report on that,” Walden Palattao Jr., chief of the NBI Operation Center, told the Inquirer. Nathaniel Melican and Erika Sauler
