Karachi bomb death toll rises to 45—official

KARACHI—The death toll from a huge car bomb attack in a Shiite Muslim dominated area of Pakistan’s largest city Karachi on Sunday has risen to at least 45, the city’s top official said.

Around 150 people were wounded in the blast, Hashim Raza Zaidi told AFP, warning that the toll may rise further as many of the injured are in a critical condition.
