One of the three men on a tricycle gunned down on Saturday night a 16-year-old boy allegedly over illegal drugs in Quezon City.
Police investigators said they recovered a small sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be methamphethamine hydrochloride or shabu near the victim’s body.
The three men fled after killing Christian Bonsobre, a resident of Saint Anthony Street in Barangay Holy Spirit, and are being sought by the police.
PO3 Erickson Isidro of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) said that the shooting happened at 11 p.m. on Saturday, in front of a store near the boy’s house.
Isidro said that before the incident, the victim was buying something from the store when a tricycle bearing three men stopped arrived in the area.
A witness told police investigators that one of the three men alighted from the tricycle, approached the teenager and shot him repeatedly in the head without any provocation. The gunman then boarded the tricycle which sped off. The witness was not able to take note of the tricycle’s body number or its
license plate.
Scene of the Crime Office personnel recovered two casings from a cal. .45 pistol and a slug near the body. They also recovered the small sachet of suspected shabu beside Bonsobre’s body.
Meanwhile, a 22-year-old fastfood restaurant delivery boy’s selfless act of protecting his 12-year-old cousin from harm cost him his life after the latter’s pursuers shot him instead.
Raymund Vivo, a resident of Sampaguita Street in Barangay Holy Spirit, died several hours after he was brought to General Malvar Hospital for a gunshot wound wound in the neck.
PO2 Jogene Hernandez of the QCPD-CIDU said that the incident happened at around 12 a.m. yesterday on Riverside Street in Barangay Commonwealth.
Hernandez said that before the incident, Vivo was cleaning his fastfood service motorcycle with his cousin Deloy Baradero when they noticed their 12-year-old cousin who was a street gang member being chased by several men.
According to the case investigator, Vivo immediately interceded but was shot by one of his his cousin’s pursuers who were members of a rival gang.
