MANILA, Philippines—A teenage boy was shot dead in his neighborhood by armed men late Friday afternoon in Quezon City.
Archiebal Miranda, 17, of Riverside Extension in Barangay Commonwealth was killed just a little distance from his home with one shot to the head around 5:30 p.m. Friday, police said.
Case investigator Senior Police Officer 1 Pascual Fabreag said the victim was chatting with a friend, known only as Ronald, on the sidewalk of Gold Street when two men walked by and shot the lad.
Miranda fell dead from one gunshot wound in the head while his friend was unharmed, Fabreag said. The assailants fled on foot.
Fabreag said the police were still investigating the shooting.
