MANILA, Philippines – A taxi caught fire along Quezon City Friday, although the driver wasn’t hurt in the accident, a Manila Metropolitan Development Authority-metrobase officer said.
Rey Dumol said the incident happened on the southbound lane of Kamuning, Quezon City near the train station around 11:16 a.m.
Dumol said the vehicle was a Freedom taxi with license plate TWN 644. The name of the driver was not immediately available.
He said Quezon City fire officers were able to put out the fire at 11:20 a.m.
