ALAMINOS CITY—A Japanese was fined after authorities found giant clam meat in his possession at the Hundred Islands National Park here on Sunday, police said.
Ken Yanatani, 27, was with another Japanese and four Koreans on Quezon Island when park personnel saw him holding a giant clam meat, said Supt. Armando Muena, city police chief.
The 3-kilogram meat was fresh, as certified by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Muena said.
