2 FEU cagers, 3 youths yield marijuana
Five students, two of them members of the FEU Tamaraws—Far Eastern University’s basketball team—were arrested on Tuesday for possession of marijuana.
A report submitted by the Manila Police District’s Sampaloc station identified the FEU students as Anthony Hargrove Jr., 22, the school’s American import, and Adam Mohammed, 22, a Canadian.
The report added that the two were spotted smoking around Tuesday midnight on Nicanor Reyes Street, near the school campus and when searched, they were found to be carrying marijuana in their pockets.
School officials declined to comment and did not reply when asked if they would be conducting their own probe of the incident.
Meanwhile, three young men who said they were students of a flying school were arrested for selling three marijuana bricks worth P18,000 to undercover policemen in Quezon City.
Senior Insp. Roberto Razon Jr. said that Michael Levin Molo, 20; Donn Umberto Gabriel, 19; and Robert Dwight Sison, 19; had been selling marijuana for about a year.
