A total of 448 patients were served last Feb. 17 in the outreach mission conducted by Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation, Inc. – Cebu last Feb. 17 in Borbon town, northern Cebu.
Of the number, 191 received free eyeglasses, 41 availed of tooth extraction and free medicines, 27 had their cysts excised and given antibiotics and analgesics, and 189 received free blood diagnostic procedures, such as blood typing, blood sugar and cholesterol testings.
The whole day event was sponsored by the Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus Alumnae Association and the Sacred Heart School Hijas de Jesus Foundation Inc. It was also supported by the Cebu City Medical Center Surgery Department, Cebu Blood Donors’ Society, Sangguniang Kabataan and the municipality of Borbon.

Kapwa Ko foundation aims to develop a healthy community by acting as a bridge between people who are in dire need and to those who have the resources and are willing to help.
