AFTER battling it out for the title just a few days ago, the University of San Carlos (USC) and the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) clash once again for the crown this weekend after the two teams hurdled their opponents in the 10-under division semifinals of the ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup 2013: Cebu Youth Basketball League 6 last Monday at the SHS-AdC basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
USC claimed the 10-under crown in the Cebu Elite Basketball League last Sunday and will be looking for a repeat of that feat this weekend. They dispatched USC South, 29-20, while SHS-AdC defeated the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), 31-18.
The 13-under division saw SHS-AdC come out on top heading to the semifinals after beating the University of the Visayas (UV), 47-38, for a six-game sweep of its age group. It is set to take on USC while second seed UV will be facing off against the Cebu Eastern College (CEC).
In the 16-under class, UV repaid the favor to SHS-AdC by demolishing the latter, 57-19, to complete their elimination round without a single loss
The Baby Lancers will be taking on USJ-R in the next round while CEC, which blasted the Baby Jaguars, 51-36, to take the second-seed, will be duking it out against SHS-AdC.
In other games of the Under 13, Don Bosco-A beat SHS-AdC-B, 37-18, and guest team Punta Princesa Children Basketball Association beat CEC-B, 46-22./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
