DESPITE the gun ban enforced for the elections, the shooting attacks in Cebu continue.
The latest attacks yesterday and Sunday led to the death of one person and the wounding of two others.
In Dumanjug town in western Cebu, an unidentified gunman shot and wounded Chrisrandel Bindanillo as he was on his way home from a neighbor’s house at past 7 a.m.
Binadanillo suffered gunshot wounds in his arm and thigh.
At past 10 a.m., in barangay Tisa in Cebu City, a man later identified as Ariel Parba, 29, allegedly shot dead John Carlos Bardinas, 23, inside his mother’s house in Tisa. Bardinas died after he was shot in the head.
Police said they were looking into the drug angle in the shooting.
At past 3 p.m. in barangay Inayagan, Naga City, Digoy Maremias was shot in the body after an argument with the suspect Toto Oghayon.
Maremias was with Ryan Piala and Jonathan Pasinabo inside a bar when he argued with Oghayon. The argument led to Maremias trying to attack Oghayon with a bolo but Oghayon pulled out a gun and shot the victim before he could hack him./Correspondents Tweeny Malinao Joy C.
