LEGAZPI CITY—Two women were gunned down on Wednesday by a still unidentified gunman over what police yesterday said could be a bungled business deal here.

Amelia Lita, 41, and Susana Nayve, 46, were apparently waiting for someone on Captain Fermin Aguende Drive in Barangay Cruzada when a lone gunman approached them and repeatedly shot them, according to police.

Senior Supt. Oscar Regala, city police chief, said a 9 mm pistol was used in the attack.

Regala, quoting investigators, said Lita got hit first and Nayve ran to the Alicia Hotel nearby where the gunman chased her and finished her off.
