Nine-vehicle collision on NLEX causes heavy traffic

MANILA, Philippines – Several people were injured following a nine-vehicle collision along the northbound lane at the North Luzon Expressway.

Andrea Gutierrez of NLEX operations center said a Toyota Camry, Hyundai Gets, Ford Everest, Kia Sportage, Mitsubishi Pajero, two Mitsubishi Montero’s and a Bataan Transit bus were involved in the accident on San Fernando, Pampanga around 1 p.m.

Gutierrez said an investigation was ongoing.

She also said several people sustained minor injuries although the exact number has yet to be determined.

Gutierrez said the vehicles were towed at 4:55 p.m. although traffic has remained heavy over a five-kilometer stretch going north.
