Yellow warning lifted in metro, parts of Luzon–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau lifted its yellow rainfall advisory in parts of Luzon on Friday afternoon, but said rains were still expected.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that as of 5 p. the yellow warning was lifted in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan and Zambales.

“Light to moderate rainfall is experienced over Pampanga and Zambales while intermittent light rains are experienced over Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bulacan and Bataan,” it said.

A yellow warning indicates heavy rainfall.

Intermittent rains were being experienced in parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, since Thursday night due to the northeast monsoon.

The possibility of light to moderate rains over some portions of Metro Manila is seen.
