4 dead as ‘Crising’ moves out of PH

MANILA, Philipppines –Tropical depression ‘Crising’  left four persons dead as it moved out of the country, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Friday.

The two fatalities were identified as Nelson Jimenez and Namatyagan Namones of Davao del Norte, who died from drowning and landslide respectively.

The two others previously recorded by the NDRRMC were Francisco Digaynon and Erwin Campana of Compostela Valley, who both died from drowning in separate incidents.

The NDRRMC also said Crising affected over 180,000 persons in Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao region, Soccksksargen, Caraga and Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Two persons remained missing.

As of Thursday afternoon, water level at Agusan River was at 3.05 meters and has been placed on Alert Level 3 (Code red).

A total of P3 million worth of relief aid has been provided by the government, the NDRRMC said.
