Two persons were arrested after they allegedly connived in stealing a tricycle in Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Jimbo Serano, 28, and Noli Gomez were arrested one after another.
The men were accused of stealing the tricycle of Dioneso Abella, 46, of sitio Bontores, barangay Mohon, Talisay.
The tricycle was stolen on Tuesday night while it was parked outside the house of 52-year-old Carlito Bendanillo in barangay Lawaan, Talisay.
Bendanillo would usually rent the tricycle to convey passengers.
Abella reported the theft to the police.
Serano was arrested around 3 p.m. Wednesday in barangay Poblacion, Barili town, Cebu.
Police said Serano later identified Gomez as his cohort.
Gomez was arrested when police spotted him near his house around 11 p.m.
Bendanillo and the two suspects are neighbors.
The sidecar of the tricycle was recovered in a junkshop in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City while the motorcycle was recovered in a repair shop in barangay Villagonzalo 1, Cebu City./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
